TESOL Qualifications
Who are these TESOL qualifications for?
The GA TESOL qualifications are designed to provide learners with high quality, regulated qualifications with which they can embark upon, or progress within, a career involving teaching English to speakers of other languages. TESOL covers teaching English anywhere, even in majority English-speaking countries like the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia. TESOL can lead to a variety of roles, including freelance teacher, working as a teacher in a school or college, or supporting language learners remotely and online.
The GA TESOL qualifications have an emphasis on the use of technology in teaching English. Level 3 TESOL consists of an introduction to TESOL, with Level 5 aimed at candidates who require a higher level qualification to meet the needs of a higher level or more independent teaching role.
Through these qualifications, learners will study: The Principles of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, ESOL Learners and the ESOL Classroom, Teaching Vocabulary, Teaching Grammar, Teaching Receptive Skills: Listening and Reading, Teaching Productive Skills: Speaking and Writing, Teaching English for Specific Purposes and Career Planning and Professional Development in TESOL.
There are optional units which include the study of:
